Holywell Town Reserves 2-1 New Brighton Villa Reserves

The Wellmen had a great start when in the second minute, Jake Cooke gave the Wellmen the lead but then the visitors dominated play for large periods of the game but Ben Lewis was rolling back the years in goal with his safe handling and guidance.
The Wellmen then won a penalty on 38 minutes when Nathan Williams was felled in the box, and he got up to take the kick but was saved by the New Brighton Keeper. This save lifted the visitors who went up the other end and scored to make the game all square at the break.

The second half was a much better performance by the Wellmen, and both sides created a few chances to get the winner and fortunatley for Town, it came our way in the final 5 miuntes as Jay Wilkes rounded the keeper and slotted home the winner.

It was a great victory for our young side over an experienced New Brighton VIlla side and the Reserves next travel to Cefn Albion on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
