Holywell Town Reserves 2-2 Brickfield Rangers

Holywell Town Reserves went into the game knowing it would be tough against Brickfield Rangers who were 4th in the league at the start of the game.

Despite both teams having chances, Town thought they had taken the lead midway through the first half as Jordan Taylor's effort looked to have crossed the line before being cleared by the visitors defence but the Referee waived play on and the score remained 0-0 as the players left the field for half time.

The second half started a lot better for Town who had a few efforts saved by the visitors keeper but disaster struck a third into the half as Brickfield took the lead, despite the protests that Alex Roberts had been fouled in the build up to the game. Town tried desperately to draw level but Brickfield went and added a second midway through the half to open up a two goal cushion.

As the game entered the final 10 minutes, Town won a free kick midway through the visitors half, and Nathan Williams' free kick sailed into the box for someone to attack but it passed everyone, including the keeper and nestled into the bottom corner to draw town back into the game. With a few minutes remaining, another cross over into the far post was met by Ashley Davies who slammed the ball home to draw the Wellmen level.

Town looked to pinch a late winner but it wasn't to be and the draw means Town remain unbeaten in the Reserves and Colts League this season.
