Penyffordd Reserves 1-3 Holywell Town Reserves

Holywell started slowly after having a less than satisfactory pre match preparation.

We fell behind to a penalty that was a fair decision from the referee. Slowly we started to grow into the game and impose our style of play onto the game and after breaking penyffordd down a number of times, Jordan Taylor finished off a very good flowing move and rounded the keeper well to finish well into the corner of the goal.

We went in drawing 1-1 at half time. Following a good discussion at 1/2 time we came out and dominated the second half totally and scored 2 excellent goals with Alex Ballard opening his account for the season with a wonderfully crafted goal. Jordan Taylor then scored his 2nd and Holywell's 3 of the day with another classy finish.

Great credit must also go to Penyffordd for a very good performance and there is no doubt they will prove strong opposition later in the season.
