The Reserves needed 2 goals in the final 10 minutes to beat Rhydymwyn by 2 goals to 1.
Played on a cold evening down Halkyn Road, the Wellmen fell behind in the 19th minute to Charlie Bradley's goal. Despite creating chances, the Wellmen failed to equalise and the half time break saw the visitors keep hold of their slender lead.
The second half started in the same manner as how the first half ended with Town creating chances looking to level the scores, and like the first half, the Wellmen couldn't turn their chances into goals and the score remained 1-0 to the visitors. As the game entered the final 10 miuntes, the Wellmen were given a lifeline as the Rhydymwyn keeper ended up putting the ball into his own net, then a few minutes later, Owen Davies was on hand to fire home the winner much to the delight of the supporters who had braved the cold weather to cheer the young Reserves.
Manager Eddie Barry was full of praise for his young side, adding "Great performance by the lads, we battled to the end, we have great attitude and being 7 points clear now on top of the league."
