Holywell Town faced Gwalchmai for the 3rd time this season at Halkyn Road and were looking for the hat trick of wins against the Anglesey side.
The game was evenly poised until the 24th minute when Sam Jones gave Town the lead after a great ball in by Steve Thomas. A minute later, Thomas himself had got on the scoresheet to give Town a 2 goal lead. Paul Williams continued his goal scoring form of later with a third before Sam Jones scored Town’s 4th, beating the keeper with a great chip from the tightest of angles.
The second half was a procession for Town and Steve Thomas added a further two goals to complete his hat trick, then Graham Boylan saw his glancing header fly in to increase Town’s lead. Subs Phil Lloyd and Luke Tyson added a goal each to seal the win and Gwlachmai had a long drive home after a heavy defeat.
