Holywell Town travelled to Denbigh Town looking to put Saturday's disappointing result against Caernarfon Town out of their system and came home with a deserved point.
Town's cause was not helped on 15 minutes as Captain Paul Williams was forced off injured and was replaced by Leon Hughes. A few minutes later, Denbigh took the lead through Simon Smith on 22 minutes. Denbigh increased their lead on 36 minutes through Owain Roberts and they took a two goal cushion in at teh break to give Holywell a mountain to climb in the second half.
The teams came out after the break and Holywell were soon into their stride and was evident that they wernt going to give up the game. Town were on top but couldnt convert their chances. The first goal came through Sam Jones on teh hour mark, who scored his first goal since his return from Flint Town United. A few minutes later, Town were level when Sub Marc Gunther scored a great goal to give the Denbigh keeper no chance.
Despite a few chances for both teams, the score remained 2-2 and the points were shared. A great comeback by the Wellmen and worthy of the point.
