3 massive points for the Wellmen in our fight to avoid relegation.

The match got underway and the Wellmen were the first to settle, pushing forward and won the first free kick, Rob Jones’ ball into the box was cleared by the Bangor City defence. Then another free kick, again in a dangerous position saw Rob Jones effort sail over the bar.
Despite Town’s possession, it was Bangor who had the first clear chance, the ball broke down the left and the low ball into the box found Robbie Parry but his effort was blocked on the line by Tony Roebuck, then the loose ball was cleared by Jon Jones to keep the score at 0-0. A few minutes later, Bangor won a free kick and the dangerous looking ball was cleared by Jon Jones at the expense of a corner, and from the resulting corner, Mike Platt punched the ball clear with Bangor’s Kian Owen threatening.
Town then had the next effort, the ball broke to Aaron Pomeyie, who twist and turns inside the box and his shot is saved by the keeper, who gathers at the second attempt. Town then win a free kick and Sam Jones floated ball into the box and finds Ketley but his header at the far post is saved by the Nathan Wolland.
Town were then awarded a penalty as Rob Jones shot was adjudged to have been handled by Michael Johnson, Up stepped Sam Jones but the keeper Nathan Wolland saved Sam Jones’ spot kick to keep the scores level. Town then had a few chances on goal after a scramble in the box, Rob Jones and Matty Hughes seeing their efforts blocked by the defence as shots reigned in on goal.
The referee blew for half time and despite it being goal less, it had been an entertaining first half between the sides.
The second half got underway and the Wellmen very nearly took the lead a minute into the half, a great ball into the box found Ketley but his effort saved by Wolland who was having a great game in-between the sticks for the visitors. Then disaster struck for Town a few minutes later as Matty Hughes was adjudged to have fouled the Bangor Striker, and the referee pointed to the spot. Robbie Parry stepped up and put away the penalty to give the visitors the lead.
Town only had to wait a few minutes to draw level. Mark Winslade chased the ball to the corner, with a defender close to him, he turned and his cross come shot flew over the keeper and nestled into the side netting for a great goal. The goal lifted the Wellmen, Pomeyie who was also having a great game made a great run into the box, beat a couple of tackles then he shot at goal and his effort was going in but it took a deflection which steered the ball past the post. Then shortly afterwards, Wolland reacted well to save Jon Jones header at the far post from a corner.
Town were pressing looking for the winner, and the Wellmen took the lead on 75 minutes, a great ball across the face of goal, found Ketley who fires the ball home, much to the delight of the Holywell supporters gathered behind the goal.
Bangor came back at the Wellmen, but everything that they threw at the Wellmen, Town’s defence stood firm and dealt with the pressure. In the dying minutes, with Bangor pushing bodies up looking for the equaliser, the ball broke clear and Ketley chased the ball and got to it just buefore the onrushing Bangor Keeper, his chip beat eh keeper but unfortunately for Town, fell the wrong side of the post and went out for a goal kick.
The referee soon blew for full time and it was a massive three points for Town in their fight to avoid relegation, and as the players walked off the pitch, it was evident for all what it meant to both players and supporters.
