The home side took the lead on 15 minutes through Liam Jones, a cross by Arron Lemon found Jones who headed home past Manager John Haseldin, who was deputising in goal for the Wellmen. The home side had the better of the first half but after the break, the Wellmen came out looking to get something out of the game.
The Wellmen created a couple of chances but the breakthrough finally came just after 70 minutes. Defender Dafydd Carruthers was adjudged to have fouled Steve Thomas in the box, and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Upped stepped Shaun Tuck to put away the penalty to draw the sides level. Despite a couple of further chances, Town were unable to get a winning goal. The home side also saw their manager Gari Lewis sent off at the final whistle to cap off a miserable second half for the Roosters.
Town next face Flint Town United at Halkyn Road for the festive cracker, and the Wellmen will be glad to end the run of defeats ahead of the game following the draw at Penrhyncoch.
