The Wellmen travelled to Conwy looking for their first win of the season and with the game only 9 minutes old, Conwy's Wayne Smith suffered a broken leg when he collided with Town's Mike Platt and the game was held up for 40 minutes until the ambulance arrived.
Once the ambulance had taken Smith to hospital, play resumed and on 22 minutes, the hosts took the lead when a loose ball was turned home by the Conwy midfielder.
Both teams were reduced to 10 men with a few minutes of the half remaining when a brawl amongst the players saw referee James Walker send off Paul D Williams for the Wellmen and keeper Louis Mackin for Conwy Borough.
Town pressed for an equaliser in the second half and pressure finally paid off in the minutes added on after the 90 when Graeme Williams fired home after a great ball by Dan Drazudkas to give the Wellmen a deserved point.
