Holywell Town travelled to Cae'r Nant looking for 3 points to take a step closer the League Championship and returned home following a 5-0 win over our local counterparts.
The game started a few minutes earlier than the scheduled 6.30pm kick off and Town had the better of the opening play as Stuart Hayes gave Town a dream start. A few minutes later, Sam Jones doubled Town's lead and put the Wellmen in the driving seat. With nearly 20 minutes played, Hayes got his second of the night before completing his hat trick late in the half to give the Wellmen a 4 goal lead at the break.
The second half started like the first with Holywell Town scoring early on. Sam Jones getting his second of the night. Despite further chances to both teams, the score remained 5-0 and Town played well and worthy of the 5 -0 win and most importantly, three points nearer the championship.
