Holywell Town are in cup action on Tuesday night as we welcome Welsh Premier league side Prestatyn Town to Halkyn Road in the first round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The Wellmen will be all out to brush aside Saturdays disappointing result against Airbus Broughton, and a victory in Tuesdays game against Welsh Premier League opposition will go a long way in helping to forget Saturdays scoreline.

The squad will be announced just before kick off, but all the players will be looking to bounce back from Saturdays defeat. Steve Lewis will be looking to continue his goal a game run going and finds himself
in great goalscoring form for the Wellmen.

Prestatyn Town, who gained promotion to the Welsh Premier league side last season after walking away with the Huws Gray Alliance championship, find themselves in a mid table Position after playing three matches, winning just the once with two defeats. The Seasiders victory coming at home to Barry Town when a late goal settled the tie. Holywell Town know it will be a tough game, as the majority of The Seasiders squad played for the club last season, and after two defeats last year against our Denbighshire rivals, we know what to expect.

It is a great privilege to be asked to appear in the competition for the 3rd successive season, and the Wellmen will be looking to make it into the second round for only the second time we have been selected to enter the competition. A victory over Buckley Town in the first year we were involved saw us travel to TNS in the second round before bowing out to the eventual winners of the competition.

Supporters are asked to note that the kick off time on Tuesday is actually 7.45pm and not 7.30pm as has previously been advertised.

We look forward to welcoming all to Halkyn Road on Tuesday and hopefully see a Wellmen victory to see us in Thursdays 2nd round draw.
