Wellmen wear poppy with pride.

Holywell Town will be wearing their poppy with pride in Saturday's Welsh Cup game against Llanraeadr Ym Mochnant.

As can be seen in the picture, The Wellmen first wore the poppy in last week's game at Guilsfield, and will be wearing them again on Saturday.

For many people, Remembrance is associated with the fallen of the First and Second World Wars. While we will always remember them, the Legion wants to raise awareness of a new generation of veterans and Service personnel that need our support.

There’s a new generation of veterans that need your support. This year, The Royal British Legion is asking the nation to Rethink Remembrance by recognising the sacrifices made not just by the Armed Forces of the past, but by today’s generation too.

The club would like to thank Poppies for Kits, who this year became the a Corporate Partner of the Royal British Legion, who supplied to poppies to us to wear on our kit. In 2014, Poppies for Kits donated a value of £18,422.02 which far exceeded our initial expectations of £10,000. This year they have set their target at a minimum of £20,000 and with a minimum of £0.50 from every poppy sold going to The Royal British Legion, they are sure with Clubs fantastic support that they can achieve this target.
