Town's night was made even worse with a couple of minutes to go when Alex Jones capitalised on a weak back pass by Brett Cotton, to shoot past Platt to give the Seasiders the three points.

The Wellmen did have chances t equalise prior to the second goal, with Phil Lloyd and Dafydd Griffith both having efforts saved well by Michael Jones, and Steve Lewis had an effort clip the cross bar early in the second half.

The club would like to thank the 250 attendance who were at Halkyn Road this evening and the Wellmen will now hopefully get back to winning ways on Saturday as we make the short trip to Mold Alex for a league encounter.
