Both teams record victories to maintain their unbeaten records.

Holywell Town have opened up a 2 point gap at the top of the Welsh Alliance League after a 3-1 victory over Llanberis this afternoon at Halkyn Road.

Phil Lloyd opened the scoring on 22 minutes, poking the ball home from a scramble in the Llanberis penalty area but the visitors equalised on the stroke of half time through Aled Jones.

Town scored again a minute into the second half through Paul Williams before Phil Lloyd got his second and Town's third on 66 minutes, chipping the ball home from an acute angle which already will be a strong candidate for goal of the season.

The win see's Town remain in top spot ahead of Llandudno Junction who could only draw 3-3 this afternoon at Llanrug United. As Town's next match is at Llandudno Junction, Town will be looking for another victory to open up a bigger gap at the top.

The Reserves travelled to Penyffordd in their Reserves and Colts league and despite falling behind, came back to win 3-1 to maintain their 100% record for the season.

Jordan Taylor grabbed Town's equaliser after Penyffordd had taken the lead from the penalty spot. Alex Ballard put Town ahead early in the second half before Town's Jordan Taylor grabbed his second of the afternoon and sealed the victory for the lads.

It was another excellent performance for the Reserves who also sit top of their Reserve and Colts league having played 5 and won 5.

So yet again, another excellent weekend for the Wellmen.......
