First Team progress into next round of FAW Trophy and the Reserves pick up an impressive victory at Ruthin Town Colts.

The First Team were in FAW Trophy Action and welcomed Welsh Alliance Division 2 side Nantlle Vale to Halkyn Road. Vale like our selves had a 100% record in their league matches so we knew it wouldn't be an easy game and the Wellmen ended up 4-0 winners with 2 late goals confirming the victory.

Paul Williams gave us the lead after quarter of an hour before Jack D'arcy doubled our lead on 25 minutes. The score remained 2-0 until the final minute when John Haseldin headed home before Paul Williams got his second of the game in the final minute to complete the scoring.

Town now go into next week's draw looking to progress further in the cup competition that they won back in 2010/11 season.

The Reserves travelled to Ruthin Town Colts and came home with all three points after a 3-1 win. Alex Roberts, Nathan Williams and Connor Hughes grabbing the goals which ensures Town stay top of the Welsh National Reserve and Colts League.

So another great weekend for both teams.....well done lads!
