Holywell Town's Under 9's were our guests on Saturday at Halkyn Road for the game against Queens Park.

Following on from the success a few weeks ago when the u6's and U7's came to Halkyn Road for their matchday experience, last Satruday was the turn of the Under 9's to be our guests.

The Under 9's were invited to the game by their coaches for them to experience a 1st team game and to feel a part of the team and having the opportunity to be mascots.

When they arrived at the ground, they were welcomed by club officials before having a tour of the ground, which saw the lads walk around the pitch to see the ground from all angles, a look at the hospitality and media room before stopping off at Holywell Town's dressing room and to have a picture taken sat on the benches for them to experience what it would be like before a game.

After this, they sides lines up near the dressing room and escorted the players onto the pitch ahead of kick off, before getting a photo on the halfway line with the players.

Club mascot Cecil the Crocodile was also present and walked around the ground with the squad.

Holywell Town's Secretary Steve Roberts added, "It was another excellent day at the club as we welcomed the under 9's to Halkyn Road for their matchday experience and hopefully they all enjoyed the game. I would like to thank all the parents and coaches for making this happen and good luck to the lads for the rest of the season."

The club would like to thank the boys for being impeccably behaved and hope to see them all again soon cheering on the senior side.
