The Wellmen faced Ruthin Town Reserves in a re-arranged fixture following last Friday night's postponement, and the visitors went home with the points after a 1-0 victory.
The visitors took the lead midway through the 1st half with Matty Williams finding the back of the net. Town won a penalty on 40 minutes and Jay Wilkes, who converted 2 penalties on Tuesday night watched as his spot kick was saved.
The second half saw the Wellmen pile on the pressure, looking for the equaliser but Town couldn't find the back of the net and the game ended 1-0 to Ruthin Town.
Reflecting after the game, Manager Eddie Barry said, "It was a terrific fighting display by the lads against the best team we've come up against, we dominated the second half but could get the ball over the line. Great display and 1st team manager John Hasledin was excellent in goal for us".
The Reserves travel to Castell AC on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways against the bottom placed side, kick off 2.30pm.
