Holywell Town U19's faced Llay Welfare at Halkyn Road and rounded their season with a 4-1 win.

Jake Cooke gave the young Wellmen a great start, tapping the ball past the keeper from Dylan Pugh's free kick. Cooke was looking dangerous and nearly added to his tally a few minutes later but his header flew over the cross bar.

The visitors equalised with nearly half hour played but a few minutes later, Town's lead was restored after Lewis Marshall fired in the second. Town were dominating the game and Bailey Roberts went close to adding to the Wellmen's lead. Roberts again came close but this time, the Llay keeper saved well.

With 10 minutes remaining, Town got a deserved 3rd goal, the lively Bailey Roberts fired in a shot which came back out off the post, and Jake Cooke was on hand to tap the ball home. Deep into injury time, Town rounded off the win with a 4th goal when substitute Dylan Williams fired in a great goal a few minutes after coming on the pitch.

It was a great way to round off the season and credit to the lads for their performance not just today, but for the whole season. The future looks promising for the Wellmen
