Following his transfer earlier on in the week, Manager John Haseldin added, "I am delighted to have signed John Davies. He is a huge signing for the club and highlights just how far we have come in a short space of time!

I've been more than happy with the squad we have put together but when a player of John's ability comes knocking then I was more than happy to answer to him. He is a footballing centre half , who is comfortable on the ball and as quick as anything which will fit into our style of play. John is here for football reasons , he can see what we are putting together and where we want to be and that has made him hungry for the new challenge.

I am confident he will help take the team onto the next level and I would like to welcome him to Halkyn Road."

New signing Davies added, "After thinking hard over the summer, I felt it was time for a fresh start and I needed a new challenge. It wasn't an easy decision but after speaking with Johnny at Holywell, I felt this was the right place to do that!

I'm looking forward to getting started and hopefully help with Holywell's push up to the Cymru Alliance. Cheers to Davis and Flint Town for a great 6 seasons at the club, I've enjoyed my time there and wish everyone at the club all the best for the future".

John made his debut on Wednesday evening in the 5-1 win over Kinmel Bay in front of the Halkyn Road faithfull.
