Bank Holiday Monday despair for the Wellmen as Caernarfon Town score three with no reply.

The first half was a tight affair, with both sides having chances in front of goal, but Caernarfon Town took the lead a minute before the break through Darren Thomas.

Town looked to get back into it second half with Steve Thomas going close, and despite further chances, Town could not get the equaliser. The home side doubled their lead midway through the half through Jamie Breese, and still Town pressed for a goal, but it didn't materialise and in the dying minutes, Jay Gibbs rounded off the scoring to give Caernarfon Town a 3-0 win.

The result was hard on the Wellmen who deserved more from the game and Manager John Haseldin later added, "Playing well and losing isn't something we want to get into a habit of doing, need to get more streetwise and learn by our mistakes. Cant knock the effort from the lads over last 2 games, played some good stuff at times just don't seem to be getting the run of the green.

In recognition of the Cofi's winning the Huws Gray Alliance Championship, the Holywell Town players gave the Caernarfon team a guard of honour as they entered the pitch ahead of kick off.

Town's next game is on Saturday for their last league game of the season as we travel to Llanfair United.
