Reserves lose at Llay Welfare

By Steve Roberts

Holywell Town Reserves fell to a narrow 4-3 defeat up at Llay Welfare

The home side took the lead early in the first half before adding a second a few minutes later. The lead was increased on the half hour mark before Ryan Jones headed a goal for the Wellmen to make it 3-1 at the break.

Holywell Town looked to pull one back and they did on 75 minutes through a Sam Edwards penalty. The home side increased their lead again shortly afterwards and the Wellmen did manage to pull one back at the end of the game but were unable to get at least a point they deserved.

The lads are again in action on Saturday and make the journey up to New Brighton Villa, kick off 2.30pm
