Holywell Town Reserves beat FC Nomads Reserves by 5 goals to 3 in thrilling game at Halkyn Road.

"I'm made up for the lads after that victory!"
- Eddie Barry - Manager

The result lifted the Wellmen off the bottom of the Welsh National League Reserve Division.

It was an excellent battling display by the team against a physical FC Nomads side, but with the experience of 1st team manager John Hasledin, Wayne Edwards and goalkeeper Andy Hughes and the enthusiastic young players with their never say die attitude paid off and the Wellmen picked up 3 deserved points.

The goal scorers for the Wellmen were Nathan Williams and Wayne Edwards with a brace of goals each, one of Edwards' goals coming from the penalty spot and Sam Edwards.

The lads gave it their all in a deserved victory with Jack Pennington outstanding in the game and the young Wellmen will be looking to continue the form into their next game.
