Holywell Town extended their unbeaten run to 5 matches after a brilliant 6-2 win over Corwen.

"It was an excellent performance by the lads, especially in the second half where we played some very good football"
- Eddie Barry - Manager

Tonights victory means the Wellmen have done the double over Corwen after winning 2-1 at their place a couple of weeks ago.

The Wellmen fell behind on 20 minutes but found themselves back on level terms with half hour on the clock through Nathan Williams. Town then won a penalty with 5 minutes of the first half remaining which was put away by Jay Wilkes (pictured) to give Town a 2-1 lead at the break.

The second half was 5 minutes old when Jake Cooke made it 3-1, before Jay Wilkes increased our lead again from the penalty spot to make it 4-1. Ross Ankers made it 5-1 before another penalty, this time converted by Nathan Williams made it 6-1 to the Wellmen. Corwen pulled one back in the dying minutes but it was a mere consolation as Town fully deserved their victory.

Manager Eddie Barry said, "It was an excellent performance by the lads, especially in the second half where we played some very good football. We are now unbeaten in last five games and we can't wait to play again on Thursday."

After Friday nights postponement of the Ruthin Town game due to a waterlogged pitch, the match has been rearranged and will be played on Thursday night with a 7.30pm kick off, where the lads will be looking to continue their unbeaten run.

Well done lads.......
