The Reserves got back to winning ways after a convincing 6-2 win over New Brighton Villa.

The Wellmen got off to a bad start and were a goal behind after a couple of minutes when James Beck put the home side ahead. They doubled their lead shortly afterwards through Rhys Peers. Ryan Edge (pictured) pulled one back just before half time to set up the second half up nicely.
Sam Edwards drew the sides level with a header early on in the second half before Kyle Wilkes put the Wellmen ahead for the first time in the match a few minutes later.

Eddie Barry then brought on U19 Player Bailey Roberts in the 78th minute and he made a massive impact on the game, scoring a quick fire hat trick to seal a 6-2 win.

It was a great win under terrible conditions and excellent character shown by the players to seal the points, and after a poor run of results, the victory was much needed and keeps our league title hopes alive.
