The Wellmen are in Huws Gray Alliance action on Friday night as we welcome Conwy Borough to Halkyn Road.

The match has the making of being a great game with the visitors in good form, having won their previous three matches and the Wellmen go into the game on the back of last weeks win over Llanrhaeadr YM which was the Wellmen’s first victory of the current season.

It has been a busy week for the Wellmen with new additions to the squad, and new signings Joe Carey and Stuart Hayes being available to play, but the Wellmen await International Clearance for fans favourite Steve Lewis who also re-signed for the club this week. Sam Jones will be looking to add to his two goal tally from last week and fellow striker Damien Ketley will be looking to break his Halkyn Road duck in front of goal. Goalkeeper Andy Metcalf, who had a great game last week will be looking to continue that form into Friday’s game.

The opposition manager Gareth Thomas will need no introduction, and will have lifted his players to try claim a victory over Wellmen after many a good game between ourselves and the sides he has previously managed. The visitors have injury doubts over Brendan Hogan and Matty Lock, but Anthony Marshall and Matty Hughes have been added to the squad.

The Wellmen will be hoping that a good crowd will be there to watch the match and are hoping that it’s a great result ‘under lights’ as we kick on from last week’s victory. The match kicks off at 7.30pm. See you there.
