Holywell Town return to action on Saturday with a home game against FC Queens Park.

Queens Park will be a real battle I’m sure and it’s vital that our preparation is right.
- John Haseldin - Manager
The Wellmen have not played since the 3rd February when the match referee abandoned the game against Llandudno Junction with the Wellmen 4 goals up, and hopefully the Wellmen will be looking to continue their excellent form prior to the postponements. Since then, the Wellmen have fallen from second to fourth place in the Huws Gray Alliance League.
Since then, Manager John Haseldin has further strengthened the side by signing ex Wrexham player Lee Fowler, and Fowler will be in the side to face Queens Park and will be hoping to make his debut. The Wellmen will be looking for Steve Lewis to continue finding the back of the net, along with Sam Jones (pictured scoring against Llandudno Junction earlier this month) and Captain Steve Thomas who have found their scoring form of late scoring in the past few games. Hasledin however will be without Danny Desormeaux, Matty Harvey and Gareth Sudlow for Saturday’s game.
Haseldin added, “It’s been frustrating lately having games called off but our objective hasn’t changed at all. It’s easy to get sidetracked with what other teams are doing and how many points they’re gaining on us, but there’s still 9 games left to play, and we’ll do all of our reflecting and looking back when the season’s over.
Queens Park will be a right battle I’m sure and it’s vital that our preparation is right. Martin has done a great job there and I know they will come here to make life difficult for us. We are one of the fittest sides in the league though and we’ve worked hard to keep those levels up. I’m looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we will once again have a good number of supporters behind us cheering us onto victory.”
The Wellmen faced Queens Park earlier in the season at their place, with the Wellmen running out 3-0 winners, with Sam Jones and a brace of goals by Mark Winslade giving the Wellmen the points.
Hopefully, we will have more of the same on Saturday and the match kicks off at 2.30pm and hopefully we will have a large number of supporters at the game, cheering us onto victory.
See you Saturday………
