Steve Lewis signs for the Wellmen on eve of the new season.

"I'm delighted to welcome Steve Lewis to Holywell Town , this is a massive signing for us and I am excited to have him on board."
- John Haseldin - Manager

Holywell Town are pleased to announce that Steve Lewis has joined the Wellmen on the eve of the new season from Llandudno FC.

Lewis, who's nickname is The Beast, has Welsh Premier and Cymru Alliance experience after playing for Bala, Rhyl and most recently Caernarfon Town, where he scored 9 goals in 11 matches last season. He recently put pen to paper at Welsh Premier League newcomers Llandudno but switched to the Wellmen ahead of the 5pm deadline on Friday so he is eligible to play against his former club on Saturday for the League opener.

Having Lewis sign for the Wellmen is a major coup and after tracking Lewis for a few weeks, Manager John Haseldin is pleased to have finally got his man.

Hasledin said, "I'm delighted to welcome Steve Lewis to Holywell Town , this is a massive signing for us and I am excited to have him on board. He has a winning mentality , aggressive , great skill, passing ability and his finishing is top drawer!

He's worked hard over the summer and its clear by talking to him that he just wants to play football. I feel we can give him a good environment to do that and get him back to what he does best, scoring goals!"

Steve Lewis added, "I can't wait to get out on the pitch and get back scoring goals and build up a connection with the great supporters at the club. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Lewis will go straight into the side to face Caernarfon Town on Saturday and hopefully will crown his debut with a goal against his former club.
