John Rushton has returned to the club on loan from GAP Connah's Quay.

"Jon comes back to tighten things up at the back , we have leaked far too many goals of late and feel its the right time for him to come back."
- John Haseldin - Manager

Rushton (pictured), who started the season on loan at Halkyn Road, was recalled by GAP Connah's Quay in early December following an injury to their first team goalkeeper John Danby. He joined GAP Connah's Quay in the summer of 2011, and from the end of September of that season, was virtually ever present for the Welsh Premier League side.
After a short spell away from the club, he rejoined in Jauary 2016 and played in the Europa Leage Play offs following an injury to first choice keeper Danby, and kept 2 clean sheets and saved a penalty to ensure Nomads qualify for the Europa League.

When Rushton was recalled to The Nomads, the Wellmen moved in and signed Keighan Jones from fellow Huws Gray Alliance side Caernarfon Town. Jones made 11 appearances for the Canaries during the early part of the season. Young Jones started his career with Chester City FC, and in September 2014 joined Airbus as cover for their first choice keeper. Jones has also been included in the Wales U16's training squad.

Following Rushton's return, Manager John Haseldin said, "Jon comes back to tighten things up at the back , we have leaked far too many goals of late and feel its the right time for him to come back. He left a big hole when Nomads recalled him back from his loan to replace their injured keeper last December and it's good to have him back at Halkyn Road.
Keighan has come in at the last minute from Caernarfon Town and has done well considering the difficult circumstances and coming in for such big games, but we think the experience will help his development and will look to him to push Jon for rest of the season and to fill the no1 position in the future."
