With games getting postponed over the past couple of weeks, Penycae had opened up a 5 point gap at the top of the Welsh National Reserves & Colts League, but the Wellmen have 4 games in hand on the Wrexham based side.
The hosts took the lead from the penalty spot with around 20 minutes on the clock, and despite chances by the young wellmen, we were unable to grab an equaliser and the half time score saw the home side lead by the solitary goal.
The second half started in the same way and Town equalised on 50 minutes through Wayne Edwards who headed the ball home from a corner. Town dominated the last hour of the game but couldn't find the winning goal so the points were shared.
It was a excellent composed display by the young side and manager Eddie Barry was proud of all the players and hopefully Town will return to winning ways on Tuesday where the side make the short journey to Mynydd Isa Spartans
