The hosts took the lead in the first half and the Wellmen battled back to be level at the break courtesy of a Rob Jones thunderbolt which gave the keeper no chance. The first half came at a cost with Wellmen forced to reshuffle after losing Matty Harvey, Morgan Jones and James Graham through injury.
The second half saw the Wellmen looking to take the lead and and Steve Lewis did get the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled offside. the Wellmen faithful who made the journey didn’t have to wait too long for a goal as Steve Lewis put the Wellmen in the lead shortly afterwards tapping home from a low cross.(pictured). The hosts were reduced to 10 men shortly afterwards and the Wellmen made sure of the points with a few minutes remaining as Steve Lewis for his second of the game firing home from the penalty spot.
The game ended 3-1 and three much needed points as we look to climb up the table. Thanks to all the supporters who made the trip this afternoon and the Wellmen will be looking to build on the victory next Friday night in the game at Conwy
