The Wellmen travel to Newtown on Tuesday in the Nathaniel MG Cup 2nd round tie looking to progress into the 3rd round for the first time in the competition’s history.
Buoyed on the back of Saturday’s excellent 2-0 victory over Porthmadog, Town will be full of confidence and looking to beat the Welsh Premier side like the victory over Tuedays opponents in the Welsh Cup a few season’s ago.
Manager John Hasledin has Joe Griffith unavailable but is able to recall Mark Winslade and Jon Jones back into the squad. There are doubts over Matty Kendrick and Brady McGilloway who will face a late fitness test to see if they make the squad. Goalkeeper Shaun Pearson is back in training and will be knocking on the first team door in the next week or two.
Newtown are currently 8th in the Welsh Premier League, having played 7, winning 2 and drawing 2. Despite their current position, they will be a tough team to beat but John will have the lads ready for the game.
