Holywell Town beat Buckley Town 4-1 in local derby!

The Wellmen took the lead as early as the 3rd minute when Dafydd Griffith fired home into the corner of the net to leave goalkeeper Ben Jones well beaten. The hosts then equalised with 10 minutes on the clock but the Wellmen were back in front after half an hour after Steve Lewis was fouled in the area and Tom McElmeel fired home from the penalty spot.

5 minutes later Connor Littler added to the Wellmen's tally, heading home past Jones before Graeme Williams put Town 4-1 up at the break, firing home into the bottom corner.

There were no more goals during the second half but Buckley were reduced to ten men midway through the half after a bad elbow on Tom McElmeel.

The win lifts the Wellmen to 2nd in the table for the time being upon the completion of tomorrow's games.

It was a great performance by the lads and hopefully they winning run can continue next week at Caersws.
