Both 1st team and Reserves win to ensure both teams are top of their respective leagues at Christmas.

The 1st team welcomed Llanrug United to Halkyn Road and knew it would be tough as the visitors were looking for their 10th straight win.

Dafydd Griffith powered home a header from a Sam Jones corner on 3 minutes to give Town the lead before Paul Williams doubled our lead on 27 minutes, firing low into the bottom corner after beating 3 defenders in the penalty box. Luke Tyson scored on 37 minutes to give Town a 3-0 lead at the break. The game was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests as Llanrug United had opportunities to score themselves with Kevin Lloyd going close and bringing a good save out of Mike Platt.

The Second half saw Town increase their lead when Luke Tyson scored his second of the game just after the hour mark after being put in by Paul Williams. Tony Roebuck then hit the post with a fierce drive but it was Llanrug who found the net as they pulled one back in the final 10 minutes.

The win meant that The Wellmen are now 13 points clear at the top of the league, but played one game extra than Llandudno Junction who are in second place.

The Reserves travelled to Garden Village near Wrexham and took the lead through Connor Hughes. Further goals from Jack Gibbons and Lewis Reed saw Town return with the points after a 3-1 victory. The result saw Town leap frog over Mold Alex Colts to the top of the Reserves and Colts League.
