Holywell Town Reserves remain unbeaten after a 1-1 draw against Corwen Reserves.

The first half saw chances for both teams but neither side were able to break the deadlock and the score remained goalless at the half time break.

Corwen took the lead on 55 minutes through Dale Davies, a mix up at the back saw the ball fall to Davies who fired past keeper Danny Stanton. The set back saw the Wellmen step up a gear looking for a goal, and grabbed a deserved equaliser in the 89th minute, as Owen Davies (pictured) headed the ball home from an excellent cross by Wayne Edwards saw the ball hit the back of the net.

The Wellmen could have grabbed a late winner, going close several times during the final few minutes but couldn't get the winner and the points were shared, and Town's unbeaten run continued.

Manager Eddie Barry said, "It was a hard fought game today against a strong and experienced Corwen side who were also unbeaten in the league this season, but I'm pleased with the performance and attitude shown by my players to get a deserved equaliser."

The Reserves are away next Saturday and travel to the Rock to face Cefn Druids Reserves, kick off 2.30pm.
