Holywell Town Football Club are today launching a Crowd Funder, entitled #PowerUpTheWellmen in order to increase the power supply into the Achieve More Training Stadium.

The work entails Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN Ltd) replacing cabling to a higher grade to allow for a supply of 200 A at the stadium, a doubling of the current supply, along with new fittings inside the clubhouse.

The improvement could allow the club to offer a wider range of catering options and outlets, as well as opening up opportunities for renewable energy installations that can be fed back into the national grid, thus providing additional income streams.

The Crowdfunding effort, which goes live at 9am on 31st May, aims to raise £16,000, and we are delighted that Sort Wales, through their Places for Sport funding programme have given their backing to the project by pledging 50% of the total, subject to the Club raising the additional £8000.

The Sport Wales Funding will appear on our crowdfunding page as soon as we reach 25% (£4000) of our target, pledged by a minimum of 100 individuals, we then have to reach the full target by the end of the crowdfunding campaign.
