Holywell Town 2-5 Airbus Broughton
The Wellmen fall to defeat against the Wingmakers.
The Wellmen welcomed Airbus Broughton to Halkyn Road, looking to keep their unbeaten start to the season going.
Like Wednesday nights game against Flint Town United, the Wellmen conceded an early goal as Alfons Fosu-Mensah' deflected shot beat Joe Griffiths to give the visitors a 2nd minute lead.
Chances were few and far between in a tight game following the goal, and the Wellmen equalised with half an hour on the clock. John Davies was penalised for a foul on the edge of the box, and Shaun Tuck stepped up to take the free kick and his low shot nestled into the bottom corner with Airbus keeper Andy Coughlin.
The score remained locked at 1-1 at the half time break, the Wellmen had a great start to the second half as Fosu-Mensah lost the ball, Steve Lewis picked up the ball and his chip over keeper Coughlin found the back of the net from over 25 yards out.
The score remained 2-1 to Holywell Town until the hour mark, when Airbus equalised to make it 2-2 through Sub Luke Busumbru.
The goal lifted Airbus and a couple of minutes later, they had taken the lead as Fosu-Mensah placed a shot in the bottom corner. He then completed his hat trick 10 minutes later to make it 4-2 to the Visitors.
The Wellmen looked to get back into the game, and despite having chances, couldn't find the back of the net.
Airbus sealed the victory in the final few minutes of the game as Busumbru grabbed his second of the game to round off a miserable afternoon for the Wellmen.
