The Wellmen return to Cup Action on Tuesday as Welsh National League side Brickfield Rangers come to Halkyn Road in the 2nd round of the NEWFA Challenge Cup.

The Wellmen had a free weekend due to the Football Internationals, and will be looking to carry on the momentum of their thrilling win over Prestatyn Town last week in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The Wellmen may give a debut to new signing Mark Winslade and also welcome back Shaun Tuck who missed last week's win over Prestatyn. Our opponents are a good side and will be a stern test to the Wellmen even though they play at a tier lower than ourselves in the Welsh Football Pyramid. They are managed by ex Holywell Town manager Simon Sedgewick, who would love to put one over his former side, along with player Ross Ankers who had a couple of seasons at Halkyn Road before signing for Brickfield in the close season. Their side also include a few players with Huws Gray Alliance experience such as Phil Molyneux so the Wellmen must be on their guard and not take the game lightly.

The match kicks off at 7.30pm and supporters are asked to take note that the Wales v Moldova match will be shown in the clubhouse so they can keep their eye on both games.
