Holywell Town remain in 2rd place after a 3-0 victory at Queens Park.

It was a solid performance today, 3 top class goals, a clean sheet and another 3 big points!
- John Haseldin - Manager

The Wellmen had a great start on 4 minutes when Sam Jones fired a great curling effort into the top corner of the net to give the keeper no chance, then Mark Winslade added a second midway through the first half to give the Wellmen a 2-0 lead at the break.

Despite creating chances, the Wellmen were unable to increase their lead until the 78th minute, as Mark Winslade grabbed his second of the game to seal the points for the Wellmen.

Queens Park were reduced to 10 men in the final few minutes when Tony Jones was sent off for a bad challenge on Town's Jack Pennington, but Town were worthy winners and deserved the three points, and with Caernarfon Town only drawing at Guilsfield, the win meant we have closed the gap with the second placed side.

Manager John Haseldin said, "It was a solid performance today, 3 top class goals, a clean sheet and another 3 big points! Supporters were quality and out in their numbers again today - They love an away day!"

Up next for the Wellmen is the big local derby when Flint Town United come to Halkyn Road next Saturday in the Huws Gray Alliance League Cup.
