Tom Povey's 80th minute header seals the win in thrilling 4-3 match

Holywell Town left it late to beat the Rwsters in a thrilling game at Halkyn Road which had everything!

Steve Thomas opened the scoring in the 28th minute before a dubious penalty was awarded to Llanrwst who equalised through Richard Orme. Teh scores remained 1-1 at Half Time and a couple of minutes after the restart, Tony Roebuck put the Wellmen ahead again with a shot through the crowded area after a goalmouth scramble which saw the Llanrwst keeper make great saves from Steve Thomas and Danny Sullivan. A couple of minutes later, Llanrwst Utd were back on level terms.

The visitors took the lead in the 70th minute from the penalty spot after another dubious decision. Town equalised in the 80th minute as Steve Thomas slotted home from a Matty Roberts cross and a few minutes later, Tom Povey rose well to head home from a Paul Williams corner to give Town the points.

The game also saw 3 red cards, 2 for Llanrwst and one for Holywell Town as the Wellmen had Marc Gunther dismissed for a second yellow offence.

All in all, a thrilling match at Halkyn Road and Town will be glad of having the three points on teh board, especially with Caernarfon Town and Denbigh Town winning their matches this afternoon.
