Holywell Town were knocked out of the League Cup after a 1-0 defeat to local rivals Flint Town.

Played in atrocious conditions, Flint Town scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as Ieuan Hewitt's free kick hit RIchie Foulkes, and the touch was enough to see the ball pass Town keeper Shaun Pearson and nestle into the bottom corner of the net.

This was hard on the Wellmen who had chances themselves but couldn't force the ball into the net, and with the game seemed to be heading into extra time, the visitors hit the Wellmen with the sucker punch which saw them in the hat for the 2nd round.

The club would like to thank the crowd of 395 who braved the elements at the game and would like to thank them for their support at the game.
