Holywell Town hit Mold Alex for 7 with Steve Lewis grabbing 4 goals for the Wellmen.

Town wanted to forget about Wednesday night's disappointing result against Prestatyn Town, and looked into putting a great display for the large number of supporters who made the short journey to Alyn Park.

It only took 7 minutes for the Wellmen to take the lead, Connor Littler shooting past the oncoming keeper after a great ball in from Steve Thomas. A few minutes later, Town doubled their lead through Brett Cotton before the hosts pulled one back, despite Mold being down to 10 men with 15 minutes gone for a high footed challenge on Steve Lewis.

Lewis, (Pictured) then went on to score a 9 minute hat trick to give the Wellmen a commanding 5-1 lead at the break.

The second half was a lot quieter and Lewis grabbed his 4th of the day 10 minutes into the half to add more misery on the home side. The scores remained 6-1 until the final few minutes when Mold pulled one back with a few minutes to go before Dan Drasduskas got Town's 7th goal of the afternoon to round off a convincing 7-2 win over our neighbours.

The win moves the Wellmen to third, 2 points behind leaders Denbigh Town.
