The Wellmen beat the Welsh Premier Side 1-0 at Halkyn Road.

Overall, we thoroughly deserved the one nil win
- Assistant Manager - Dave Sweet

The first half was evenly matched with chances falling to both sides with neither breaking the deadlock.

The second half was similar to the first, with chances falling to both sides. As the game progressed, Town felt that their performance deserved a goal, and that came in the 88th minute through substitute Wayne Edwards, who's low shot found the bottom corner.

It was another good workout for the Wellmen, and a great way to come back from the midweek defeat against Runcorn Town.

Assistant Manager Dave Sweet added, "We knew that Caernarfon would be pretty much full strength, and probably one of the best sides we play over the next 12 months so it was important we gave a good account of ourselves, it was important that we stuck to our tasks today, which we did, and restricted them to a few chances and we thoroughly deserved the one nil win!"

The Wellmen are next in action on Saturday as Cammel Lairds make the journey to Halkyn Road.
