Manager John Haseldin is pleased to announce that Tom McElmeel will be the Wellmen's captain for the forthcoming season.

McElmeel had a great season to help the Wellmen win the treble and his experience of playing in the Cymru Alliance and above will be a great asset for the Wellmen in their first season back in the Cymru Alliance.

Manager Haseldin added, "I'm delighted that Tom has accepted the armband to be the new club captain for the 2015/16 season. I had a couple of people in mind when the position came available but when I mentioned it to him it was clear how much it would mean to him to captain the club. He's been a stand out performer on a consistent basis since he signed a few years ago , he's well respected on and off the field and the type of player that thrives on responsibility and feel he will rise to the challenge of leading us into one of the biggest seasons in the clubs recent history."

After receiving the news, McElmeel said, "I was honoured that John asked me to captain the team in its first season back in the Cymru Alliance, especially as there are a number of players that deserved it.
It's an exciting year ahead in what is an extremely competitive league next season and we can't wait to get started as a club."

McElmeel's first game as captain will be against South Liverpool in the club's first pre-season friendly arranged for Saturday 18th July 2015.

Good luck Tom!
