A Tom McElmeel double see's Town return with all 3 points after a 2-1 win at Glan Conwy.

Town fell behind in the 7th minute when a long clearance by the Glan Conwy keeper fell to Kyle Robb who struck the ball past the advancing Mike Platt.

Town were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute as Sam Jones was shown the red card after both sets of players squared up to each other and surprisingly, the referee only showed a red card to Sam and a yellow card to Glan Conwy's keeper Danny Mills when the majority of the players had been involved in one way or other.

Despite being down to 10 men, Town battled back well and equalised in the 33rd minute when Tom McElmeel fired home from the penalty spot after he was brought down by the Glan Conwy's right back.

Town did not let having 10 men stop them and the pressure finally paid off midway through the second half when Tom McElmeel scored a brilliant goal from a free kick from outside the area which gave the keeper no chance.

Town had chances to increase their lead but were denied by the keeper and Glan Conwy had a goal dissallowed near the end of the game after a foul on Holywell keeper Mike Platt in the build up to the goal.

It was a great win by the Wellmen, and the character shown from being behind in the game and reduced to 10 men and to battle back to win the game is testament to the lads and their determination to win.

Town's next match is away to Gresford Athletic in the FAW Trophy next Saturday and the kick off time is 1.30pm.
