Holywell Town fire 15 goals past bottom placed Llanfairpwll to extend our lead at the top of the league.

Town went ahead within the first couple of minutes through Sam Jones and then Matty Harvey doubled our lead with 6 minutes on the clock. Town added a further 3 goals through Phil Lloyd and brace by Sam Jones and with only 20 minutes on the clock, the visitors knew it was going to be a long afternoon.

Matty Harvey got himself on the scoresheet again soon after and another Sam Jones penalty put Town out of sight. Llanfairpwll did score on 41 minutes through James Harendy but it was little more than a consolation goal and the Town went in at the break leading by 7 goals to 1.

The second half was only a couple of minutes old when Sam Jones got his 5th of the afternoon before Paul Williams added Town's 9th a few minutes later. Tom McElmeel grabbed Town's 10th with a great solo effort before Paul Williams added his second of the afternoon on the hour mark.

Phil Lloyd then scored his 2nd of the day with 63 minutes gone before Luke Tyson scored Town's 13th a few minutes later. Player Manager made an appearance off the bench and scored Town's 14th with only his second touch before Sam Jones wrapped up a remarkable afternoon for the Wellmen with his 6th and Town's 15th with 5 minutes remaining.

It was no doubt the highest scoring match at Halkyn Road for a number of years and Town's supporters will have left the ground happy having witnessed the victory over Llanfairpwll.

Town's next game is on Saturday as we make the long trip to Barmouth & Dyffryn United in the re-arranged league match.
