Tom McElmeel's 86th minute winner see's the Wellmen reach the FAW Trophy Final after a 1-0 victory over Abergavenny Town.

Abergavenny Town created most of the chances and had the better of the play during the first half, with Mike Platt producing a couple of excellent saves near the end of the half to keep the score at 0-0 and Steve Thomas had to clear a ball off the line from a header following an Abergavenny Town corner. Abergavenny's task was made even harder midway through the first half as their player Craig Norman was sent off after his second booking of the afternoon.

The second half saw Holywell Town create more chances and play better football. Town had an effort cleared off the line and Phil Lloyd and John Leonard both seeing efforts go wide of Tom Indge's post.
Town's pressure paid off with 86 minutes on the clock as Stuart Hayes watched as his shot came back off the cross bar but Tom McElmeel was on hand to head the rebound into the net to send the large number of Holywell Town supporters behind the goal wild with delight.

Town will now face fellow Welsh Alliance side Penrhyndeudraeth in the final which is scheduled to be played on Saturday 18th April 2015. The venue has yet to be decided. Details of which will be announced as soon as it is known.

Another excellent result for the Wellmen who are now only 1 game away from winning the Trophy again that they won back in 2010/11 season.
