Sam Jones opened the scoring on 19 minutes, capitalising on an error by a Gwalchmai defedner and Jones made it 2-0 a few minutes later to put Town in control. Jones completed his hat trick with a third goal just after the half hour mark and Steve Thomas added a 4th a few minutes before the break.

Matty Harvey made it 5-0 with an hour on the clock and Dafydd Griffith completed the scoring on 78 minutes to seal a great win on opening day for the Wellmen.

Town will be looking to add to the result on Wednesday when Glan Conwy come to Holywell.

It was a great win today for the Wellmen and well deserved and if it wasn't for Gwalchmai's keeper, the scored could have easily been into double figures.
