Both teams away from home and return with victories under their belts!

Holywell Town first team travelled to Pwllheli in the 1st round of the Cookson Cup which they won last season and they returned with their name still in the hat after a 4-1 win over the Welsh Alliance side.

Holywell Town opened the scoring through Paul Williams before Steve Thomas doubled Town's lead on the stroke of half time to give Town a two goal lead at the interval

Tom McElmeel scored a brilliant free kick before Pwllheli pulled one back but Graeme Williams made sure of the win to keep Town in the competition they won last season.

The Reserves travelled to Lex Glyndwr in the Reserves and Colts League and returned home with all three points after a 6-2 win over the Wrexham side.

Jack Gibbons, Connor Hughes, Danny Sim and Lewis Reed gave Town a 4-1 lead at the interval but further goals from Jamie Roberts and Connor Hughes gave Town a convincing 6-2 win. The victory keeps Town top of the Reserves and Colts League, 4 points clear of Brickfield Rangers who are in 2nd place.
