Both teams are in action on Saturday as the 1st team welcome Llandudno Junction to Halkyn Road and the Reserves are on their travels against Hawarden.

After all the hype and excitment of last week's Welsh Cup game against Aberystwyth Town, the first team have another big cup game on their hands as they face Llandudno Junction for a place in this season's Cookson Cup Final.

Town won the Cookson Cup Final last season after beating Llanrug United 5-1 at Conwy's Morfa Ground to win the cup and the Wellmen will be looking to retain the Cup for another Season.

The Wellmen will once again be without the suspended Sam Jones who misses the final game of his 3 match suspension following his sending off at Glan Conwy 3 weeks ago.

There is good news for the Wellmen as Steve Thomas returns to the squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines following his injury at Tywyn / Bryncrug before Christmas. Also back in the squad is Shaun Pritchard after being cup tied last week. Paul Williams, Lee Emberton and Jack D'Arcy all picked up knocks during last week's game against Aberystwyth but all expected to play after coming through a training session during the week.

Phil Lloyd will be looking to add to his impressive tally against the Railwaymen having already scored 5 goals against them in the 3 matches we have played this season to date. So far, Town have won all three games, winning 3-1 at Llandudno Junction and 5-0 at home in the League, and by 6 goals to 1 in the Mawddach Cup at Halkyn Road back in November.

Saturday's game will be far from easy and with both sides looking for a place in the final, it promises to be a great game. Junction come to Holywell on the back of a good 4-2 home win over Pwllheli last weekend.

The match kicks off at 2.30pm and the Wellmen are urging for another great crowd to cheer the lads on. We seen last week that we can pull a good crowd and hopefully a few would have liked what they saw last week and will be back for more! The bar will be open from 1pm for your pre match pint!

The Reserves make the short journey up to Hawarden Rangers in the Welsh National Reserves and Colts league, looking for a victory to maintain their position at the top of the league.

Town have not played since the defeat at Queens Park in the League Cup on 17th January but they won their previous game after a great 5-3 win over Borras Park Albion in a league match.

Town will be hoping Connor Hughes will be adding to his goal tally and with Mold Alex, who are currently 2nd in the League, also having a league game on Saturday, Town know that a win would keep them on top of the league. The match kicks off at 2.00pm on the Gladstone Playing fields in Hawarden opposite the Hawarden High School.
