Sam Jones has been a fans favourite for a number of years for the club with his excellent goal scoring record and his signature is a massive boost for the new management team.

Jones scored 15 goals last season for the Wellmen and hopefully that record will continue next season. Despite interest from other clubs over the summer, Jones signed for his home town club.

Manager Gareth Sudlow said, "I’m absolutely over the moon to sign Sam on for the season.

He is everything that this club stands for and I am delighted. He is going to be massive for us this season. With a full pre season under his belt that he never got last year there will not be many in this league better than Sam. He has turned down massive offers from other clubs to stay loyal to Holywell Town and as a club this is a massive signing for us.
